Jusoor celebrates the laying of the cornerstone for the Investment Building Project of Al Suwaiq Sport Club
Jusoor Foundation celebrated the laying of the cornerstone for the Investment Building Project of Al Suwaiq Sport Club in the Wilayat of Suwaiq, North Al Batinah Governorate, with a social investment of 200,000 Omani Rials. The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Issa bin Ahmed Al Maashani, the Wali of Suwaiq, in the presence of the board members of Al Suwaiq Club, Jusoor Foundation's Management, and representatives from government departments and companies funding the project.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Sbaa Al Saadi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Al Suwaiq Sports Club, emphasized that this investment project will contribute to enriching the club's sports and cultural activities with financial returns that will positively impact the desired outcomes sought by the club's management. Additionally, it will propel various sports forward and enable their regular organization in line with the financial income generated from this investment project upon its completion.
He added, "the partnership established between the private sector and sports clubs in the Sultanate of Oman, in general, is purposeful to drive Omani sports towards improvement. Strengthening the role of the private sector in developing and supporting sports activities across various disciplines conducted by sports clubs will have a positive effect on all members and players in those clubs. At Al Suwaiq Club, chaired by H.H. Sayyid Firas bin Fatik bin Fahar, we express gratitude to Jusoor Foundation and its founding companies OQ, Sohar Aluminium, and Vale in Oman for their support, which, as mentioned, will have a positive impact on the sports and cultural activities of the club as a whole. Additionally, we hope that the other companies in Oman take the same direction towards effectively supporting the sports sector."
Jaber bin Sulaiman Al Busaidi, the Executive Manager of Jusoor Foundation, clarified that the Investment Building Project of Al Suwaiq Sport Club falls within the cultural and sports domain projects undertaken by the foundation. The project is being constructed on a 1100 square meter area, comprising two floors. The first floor is designed for rental exhibition spaces, while the second floor is allocated for four open office spaces for rent, in addition to parking facilities. He noted that the project's implementation period is 18 months. He further explained that the laying of the cornerstone for the project marks the continuation of the financing and cooperation agreement signed between the Jusoor Foundation and the club in May of this year.
Al Busaidi indicated that the investment building project will be executed in the Ghala Industrial Area in Muscat Governorate, a vital and strategic location. The project aims to achieve local added value by appointing local companies to provide their services in engineering consulting and construction works for the project.
It's worth noting that Jusoor Foundation aims to achieve its objectives in the sports and cultural sectors by supporting investment building projects for the sport clubs in North Al Batinah Governorate. This marks the sixth investment building project undertaken by Jusoor for sport clubs in the governorate, following previous investment buildings for clubs in Sohar, Al Khabourah, Al Salam, and Majees, with a total social investment of 1,075,000 Omani Rials.
