Totaling OMR 3.8 Million: Jusoor Foundation Awards Contracts for Three Construction Projects in North Al Batinah

Today, Jusoor Foundation celebrated the awarding of construction contracts for three projects across several wilayats in North Al Batinah Governorate, with an award value amounting to 3,872,000 Omani Rials. The ceremony was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sohar, under the patronage of His Excellency Mohammed bin Suleiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, and was attended by a number of Walis, members of the Municipal Council, Directors General of related government institutions, and representatives from the companies funding the projects.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Suleiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, emphasized the added value of the three projects for which construction contracts have been awarded. He highlighted their significance to all segments of society in providing the best service to beneficiaries. Al Kindi stated, "These projects will undoubtedly support the existing projects in these wilayats, positively impacting the level of services in each sector. This demonstrates a confirmed partnership between the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable development for the local community." He also pointed out that these projects, upon completion, will have a clear positive effect on the community, with the hope of moving forward in implementing sustainable development projects across various wilayats of the governorate.
According to Jabir bin Suleiman Al Busaidi, the Executive Manager of Jusoor Foundation, the construction contracts for the three projects have been awarded to local companies. The contract for the Dialysis Unit at Sohar Health Complex has been awarded to the International Business Development at a cost of 712,349 OMR. The contract for Al Suwaiq Public Park has been awarded to B-Engineering for 1,979,655 OMR, while the contract for Liwa Market for Fish, Vegetables, and Fruits has been awarded to Oman Technical Contracting at a cost of 1,180,000 OMR.
He added that awarding these contracts to the executing contractors confirms the commencement of actual construction work according to the agreed timeline for each project. Each contractor will begin their work in line with the specifications of their contract, ensuring that the construction progresses as planned by Jusoor Foundation for each project.
The first project is the Dialysis Unit at Sohar Health Complex, which falls within the healthcare services sector, undertaken by Jusoor Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. The project covers an area of 2,138 square meters and includes 21 beds distributed across two treatment halls, three isolation rooms, a clinic, a conference hall, and administrative and service facilities. The center will contain all the necessary dialysis machines and medical equipment. Therefore, this project aims to achieve several key objectives such as enhancing the quality and efficiency of health services in North Al Batinah Governorate, increasing the daily capacity to serve kidney patients, and improving the scheduling of their treatment appointments.
Aiming to create a tourist, recreational, and family destination in the wilayat of Suwaiq, which is the largest wilayat in the North Al Batinah Governorate, comes the second project Al Suwaiq Public Park. This Project will cover 90,000 square meters of the park's total area, incorporating service and recreational facilities. These will include walking paths, children's play areas, landscaping and planting, fountains, two padel courts, restaurants, a prayer hall, and various administrative and service facilities to suit the activities of all family members and park visitors.
The third project is the establishment of Liwa Market for Fish, Vegetables, and Fruits. It will be an integrated market consisting of two buildings designed in a modern and contemporary architectural style with a total construction area of (4,303) square meters. The project will include a building for the vegetable and fruit market consisting of (46) shops for selling fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meat; in addition to an auction platform, a loading and unloading area, and other administrative and service facilities. The fish market building will include (31) fish sales platforms, (30) fish cutting tables, a waiting area, a loading and unloading area, an ice factory, an auction platform, a fish grilling shop, and other administrative and service facilities. Through this project, the aim is to build a modern and integrated market to serve the residents of the wilayat of Liwa and neighboring wilayats, providing a suitable and healthy sales environment for traders and customers.
