Jusoor Foundation Receives Recognition in Accordance with ISO 26000 Social Responsibility Guidelines

Jusoor Foundation has received recognition in accordance with the ISO 26000 guidelines for social responsibility, marking an important milestone that reflects Jusoor’s commitment to applying best practices in social responsibility and strengthening its role as the social investment arm of its founding companies: OQ, Sohar Aluminium and Vale in Oman.

This recognition affirms the maturity of Jusoor Foundation’s organizational framework, which is built on governance, stakeholder engagement, effective partnerships, sustainability and impact measurement. These elements align with the Foundation’s role in implementing sustainable social projects that respond to community needs and contribute to enhancing quality of life.

ISO 26000 is an international guidance standard that promotes social responsibility practices within organizations. It focuses on a set of key principles and core subjects, including organizational governance, human rights, labor practices, the environment, community involvement and development. 

Jaber Sulaiman Al Busaidi, Executive Manager of Jusoor Foundation, said: “This recognition represents an important milestone in the Foundation’s journey toward embedding social responsibility as an integrated organizational approach, rather than a set of separate initiatives or projects. In the coming phase, Jusoor Foundation will continue developing its internal and external practices in a way that enhances sustainability and improves the efficiency of managing community impact.”

Al Busaidi added that this achievement reflects the Foundation’s efforts to build a national model for managing shared social investment by transforming partnerships and resources into long-term impact that serves community priorities and supports sustainable development in the Sultanate of Oman.

Through this recognition, Jusoor Foundation reaffirms its commitment to working with its partners and stakeholders to develop impactful projects and initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainable social impact and support the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 in building a more sustainable and prosperous society.
